How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take?
by: FAQs in: Washington, DC
On an average wedding day, I will take anywhere from 500 - 800 shots. From those, I pick out the absolute best, depending on the number you have ordered. When we meet, I actually have a list of shots, where you can fill in additional ones, and also names, so that you don't have to worry about anything on that special day.
Depending on the amount of coverage you desire...but typically for a 6 hour coverage I photograph around 700 images. Yes, you can provide a list of special requests...that is most welcomed!
I take about 150 images per hour and show about 100 images per hour during proofing. Yes, I will work with your list of posed photos.

I work with my clients before the wedding to determine the style and type of images they are interested in. It enables me to deliver required images without working with a list of poses. I do however work with the list of people important to my clients.
I take as many as needed! I do provide a 'Wedding Checklist' of suggested 'shots', however, you may provide your own or add to the one I give you.
A typical 6 hour package yields over 1000 photographs. Certainly a list of posed photos is great, or even a magazine clipping of a photograph you would like us to try to duplicate.
You can provide a list for us of what we call 'have to have shots'. These should be shots that we wouldn't know to take for example a photo with a great uncle in from CA who you haven't seen in 10 years.
We ask that you give us a list of special photographs you want taken. The clients have full say in what gets photographed. We have no limit on the amount of photographs taken.

I take around 600 pictures on an average day. I can provide a list if you need one, but I don't shoot from a list since every wedding and couple are different.
I capture as many as I can in the time provided, I do not work from a list since this will prevent me from seeing the wonderful exciting events that unfold arround me. I will look at your request and be aware of them.
A typical wedding that covers 2-3 hours of pre-wedding through the END of the reception provides between 400-600 images that you get to choose from.
I take between 300-500 photographs during a wedding. It depends on how many hours I am hired. I have a shotlist that I give to every Bride before her wedding to tell me exactly which posed or candid photographs she would like to see from her wedding.
There is no magic number of images we take. The number will depend on the time alotted. It's about quality not quantity. If you are hiring a photographer for five hours and they offer you 600 images remember they are shooting at a rate of two images per minute, not only will there not be variety they don't have the time to properly pose and light the sittings. We meet with all of our couples just prior to their wedding to make sure our list of preferred images match as well as getting examples from our bride as to what type she likes.
We take unlimited amount of pictures (500-2500) per day. Yes you can provide list of posed shots.

I usually take around 700-800 pictures in a 6 hour wedding. With about 100 put in an outtake folder, that leaves around 600 great pictures to choose your album from.
On average We take between 400 to 500 images on the day of the event (depending on how many hours you contract. Yes you can provide a list of desired photos.
Depending on the size of the wedding. 100 pics for a small backyard type of a wedding. 300-400 pics for a large formal wedding with two photographers. You can provide a list of posed photos. My job is to capture memories for you to keep.
