What makes you different from other local wedding officiants? Why should someone hire you? I truly believe that a wedding ceremony is one of the most memorable moments in life. It is my job to work with the brid and groom on creating the perfect ceremony that is meaningful, comfortable and wonderful. I am an excellent speaker and I thoroughly enjoy helping couples create their own unique ceremony. I am open to any type of service (religious, non-religious, mixed religious, nature-based, ecclectic, musical, etc.)..
What are your standard payment terms? $100 deposit and contract due in order to reserve the date/time..
What is your event cancellation policy? Ceremony may be cancelled up to 2 weeks before the ceremony in order to receive the deposit back..
How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel fee? Travel beyond 15 miles of Fair Oaks is $1/mile..
How many wedding do you officiate a year? 20+.
What kind of pre-wedding counseling is required, if any? None required. Pre-wedding counseling is available upon request..
How long after the ceremony do you file for the official marriage license? I keep a copy on file and mail in the paperwork to the county clerk recorder the next day..
What documents do I need to bring to our first meeting? Bring your ideas about the vision that you have for your wedding! Bring questions..
Will you marry couples of different faiths or previous divorce? Yes. Inter-faith weddings are wonderful! I am open to saying any types of words or facilitating rituals that represent what you believe. Divorce is not an issue..
How long does the ceremony usually last? This is completely up to the couple. Most ceremonies last between 10-40 minutes. Adding in rituals, songs, readings, prayers (for example) all add time to the ceremony. .

Do you have a back up officiant on call, in case of an emergency? Yes. I have a back-up officiant on call for every wedding, although I have never had to cancel..
Will you allow us to write our own vows? Yes. This is your special day! Whatever type of ceremony and wording you want is what will be done. .
Can we read or hear your ceremony before our wedding day? Absolutely! The exact words of the ceremony will be created by the bride, groom and officiant together in advance. Everything will be reviewed via email or in person before the wedding. .

How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date? The earlier, the better. Some parts of the year book up quicker than others..
